After breaking off an engagement in college, Kim began growing in a relationship with God, and He remodeled her heart and her relationships. Grateful for the mentoring she received from godly women, Kim took what she learned and began mentoring young women through the campus ministry StuMo.
She was a bridesmaid in thirteen weddings before she met and married her dreamy husband Sean. They have been married for over twenty-five years and have three adult sons. As Kim both experienced and witnessed all the ups and downs of being both single and married, she said over and over again, “I need to let young women know about some of this stuff.”
One day she scribbled down on an index card the key lessons she learned as a single woman that made a big difference in their marriage. The notes on that card became a series of talks that drew in thousands of young women, and those talks eventually became the book Loving Your Husband Before You Even Have One.
During the craziness of COVID, a co-worker suggested launching a podcast with the content. Kim didn’t want to do it alone, so she recruited Adrienne to do it with her. Leah was one of their first guests, and she jumped on board as a co-host a year later to make sure things stayed relevant to single women.
